Ms. Dethmers and I traveled to JF Webb High School in Granville County to visit their Virtual Enterprises program. This program is a simulated business that is set up and run by students with guidance of a teacher/facilitator and a business partner. This program allows students to experience all parts of being an employee in a firm in an actual business environment. We are looking at implementing this program in Warren County High School and Warren County New Tech High School in 2011-2012. I plan to apply for a local course option that will allow us to offer this course through the CTE Department.
