Eddie Ferguson from Vance Granville Community College and I stepped
across the state line into Virginia to visit the Lake Country Advanced
Knowledge Center in South Hill. We checked out the High Performance
Technology Program that High School students from Mecklenburg, Brunswick
and Lunenburg Counties participate in during their junior and senior
year. They earn 48 college credits while in high school! My good friend,
Natalie Coronas, the Coordinator of Off Campus Instruction provided the
tour and information on the program. It was great to see her and the
teachers. Eddie and VGCC is looking at this type of opportunity for our
region.
