Scenes from the Kerr Tar Stem Summit

The Kerr Tar Regional Council of Governments held its first annual Regional Stem Summit last week. It brought together K-12 school officials, community college representatives, local government and business and industry leaders to discuss the impact of Science Technology Engineering and Math on their local communities. The counties of Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren were represented. Warren County School's Superintendent, Dr. Ray Spain presented during the summit on how we developed Warren New Tech High School. He talked about school choice for students and how important it was to provide students and parents educational options. Below are pictures highlighting the event.

Thank you to Elik and the steering committee for the many months of planning and work on the summit. The planning included three training sessions for the facilitators that led the table talks.
