Farm City Dinner at Warren County Armory Civic Center

The annual Farm City Dinner was held this week in Warrenton to recognize the work and collaboration between the community. The business and industry, farmers, and local government celebrated their collaborative efforts to make a difference in Warren County.


Stacy Woodhouse, Director of Economic Development for Warren County was the master of ceremonies for the event.



A committee of local farmers and business people served on the planning committee to put this event together.


Crystal Smith, County Extension Director  introduces her staff and other special guests


Steve Owens provided the entertainment for the evening. 



Warrenton Mayor, Walter Gardner, spoke about how the community worked together to improve the area. 




Students in 4H were recognized and presented cash awards for their projects.


Matthew Place, Livestock Extension Agent talked about his role in helping the farmers and providing support. 


Paul Mckenzie, Horticulture Extension Agent introduced the keynote speaker. 


Dr. Blake Brown, Professor in Agriculture and Resource Economics provided an outlook in for farmers in North Carolina and the US. 


William Landis, Small Farms Extension Agent talked about his role in supporting the community.
