December School Board Meeting

Check out scenes from the December School Board Meeting. It was held at Warren County High School. The WCHS Jr. ROTC and the National Runner-up Band were honored this month. Other awards and recognitions were presented as well.

Dr. Ray Spain, Superintendent introduces Mary Sladon, Assistant Principal, at WCHS to introduce their exemplary work.



Colonial Paige provides a briefing on the current programs they offer.


Students provided examples on how this program had changed their lives and taught them leadership skills.




School Board Member, Roberta Scott was presented the Raleigh Dingman Award for Outstanding Leadership in the State of North Carolina.


Schools that made or exceeded state growth standards in 2016-17 were presented awards for their accomplishments.

John Hargrove, Head Custodian at Warren County High School received the Stellar Performer Award in December.


Warren Early College received the High Attendance Award for November


Warren New Tech High School received the Most Improved Attendance Award.


Taylor Whitehead, Band Director for Warren County Schools talks about his very young band and how they did very well to place as the National Runnerup in this years contest. He is looking forward to having the large majority of his team back next year.
