Warren County Schools Staff Participates in Dominican Republic Study Visit

UNC World View plans and conducts international study visits each summer for K-12 and community college educators that focus on learning about the culture, key issues and educational practices of specific countries.Participants meet with experts and officials in government agencies, schools, colleges, and non-governmental organizations, and they visit significant historic and cultural sites to gain an in-depth understanding of the country and region. Pre-study-visit seminars and orientation well prepare participants before they leave.Upon return, participants attend a workshop to help them design relevant curricula and initiatives based on their study visit experiences to stimulate global learning in their classrooms, schools, districts and colleges. Experience countries and cultures different from your own and integrate a global perspective into your classroom and campus.

Twenty eight educators from North Carolina participated in the study visit.

Nine participants were from Warren County Schools
