Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentines Day to everyone! This is a busy week for Warren County CTE. Monday night, I will be making a presentation to the Warren County Board of Education. I plan to present them with a gift, a small token of my appreciation for all that they do for the students and the CTE programs. I am sharing with them a few of the outstanding things that our students and teachers have accomplished this year. I am also asking the board chair to sign a proclamation recognizing Febraury as CTE Month in Warren County Schools. On Tuesday, Janet Dunderdale and I will travel to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. We will participate in a round table discussion with the other pilot Microsoft IT Academy programs. We are looking forward to working together to make this program stronger for our students in NC. On Wednesday, I will return to DPI with 7 other CTE Directors across the state to discuss the advanced level CTE courses and future CTE initiatives. I hope to be able to show them the data from our IC3 certification program at Warren County Middle. Our students have done very well and I look forward to showing off their accomplishments to DPI!. On Thursday, I will be doing a final day of IC3 testing for students taking Business Computer Technology during the 1st semester at WMCS. At the moment, we have 13 8th grade students that have passed all three exams and are officially IC3 certified!! Stay tuned for those numbers to increase after Thursday!
